USCIS case status · Interview
Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed
What it means
You had your interview, and the officer did not decide on the spot. They may need a supervisor's review, a background check result, or to look at documents you brought.
What usually happens next
A decision usually follows in days to a few months. If the officer asked for anything at the interview, you will get a written request for evidence.
What to do now
- Send anything the officer asked for, by the date they gave.
- Keep the interview results sheet (Form N-652 for citizenship) if you received one.
Questions
- Is "must be reviewed" a bad sign?
- No. It is very common; many officers do not issue a decision at the interview itself.
