What it means

Your case was approved and USCIS is printing your card or document, such as a green card or work permit. It is the step between approval and mailing.

What usually happens next

Within days to a couple of weeks the status changes to "Card Was Mailed To Me", often with a USPS tracking number.

What to do now

• Make sure USCIS has your current mailing address; cards are not forwarded.
• Check that your mailbox shows your name, so the carrier will deliver it.
